Anita’s Kitchen Co. began as a labor of love in 2009, originally known as Heavenly Sweets by Anita in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Born out of a tiny kitchen and big dreams, it started with one Navy veteran’s passion for baking southern-inspired desserts that reminded people of home — warm pound cakes, perfectly sweetened cookies, and made-from-scratch treats that told a story with every bite.
After years of baking for family, friends, and local events, word quickly spread. What began as a hobby soon became a sought-after business built on quality, care, and connection. Anita’s desserts were more than delicious — they created moments, brought people together, and left lasting impressions.
After relocating to California, Anita reimagined the brand as Anita’s Kitchen Co. — an online, veteran-owned bakery offering luxury treats with southern charm, designed for celebrations big and small. The mission evolved too: to spread joy through food, empower the next generation through entrepreneurship, and support the community through fundraising and corporate partnerships.
